Samuel Fuller

SAMUEL7 FULLER (EDWARD6, ROBERT5, JOHN4, WILLIAM3, JOHN2, WILLIAM1)was born 1612 in Norfolk, England, and died October 31, 1683 inBarnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He married JANE LATHROPApril 8, 1635 in Scituate, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, daughter ofJOHN LATHROP and HANNAH HOUSE. She was born Abt. 1614, and died Bet.1658 - 1683 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. JANELATHROP: Baptised: September 29, 1614, Egerton, Huddersfield,Yorkshire, England.
Came to America with his parents Edward and Ann Fuller aboard the shipMayflower in 1620. When his parents died during the colony's firstwinter of 1620/21, his uncle Dr. Samuel Fuller undertook hisguardianship. He married in Scituate, Massachusetts at a Mr.Cudworth's residence on 8 April 1635 to Jane Lothrop daughter ofReverend John and Hannah House Lathrop. The marital prceedings wereconducted by Captain Miles Standish.
Samuel was admitted a freeman in Plymouth Colony in 1634, moved toScituate in 1635. 1636, Samuel built a pallisadse style house inScituate, located on Greenfield Street. It had walls of poles, filledin with stones and clay, with a thatched roof, windows of oiled paperand a floor of hand sawed planks. He joined the Scituate church onNov. 7, 1636; and was elected constable there in 1641. Sometime laterhe moved to Barnstable, to which his father-in-law had moved in 1638.Samuel was the only Mayflower passenger to settle permanently inBarnstable and was one of the last surviving Mayflower passengers. Thewill of Samuel Fuller Sr. of Barnstable dated Oct. 29, 1683, exhibitedJune 5, 1684, names eldest son Samuel, son John, daughters ElizabethTayler, Hannah Bonham, Mary Williams and Sarah Crowe, and his Indian,Joell (bequeathed to son John); sons Samuel and John as exectors.(http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~walkersj/fuller.html)
