Biography
Yale 1899, Harvard Law School 1902, farmer, active in agricultural andcivic affairs, served in state legislature as assemblyman and later assenator, commissioner of agriculture, commissioner of milk, warden ofChrist Church for many years, buried in Evergreen Cemetery Watertown,CT. All this from Peggy Buckingham Alexander, his daughter. Thefamily of his brother referred to him as "Uncle Mac." He is the onewho had the celerette and somehow it got passed down to his nieceBetty and from there to her grandson Holmes. It's a beautiful glassand crystal piece that holds brandy and little glasses.
