Coal Operator’s Car Crashes Into Pittsburgh Safety Zone.

PITTSBURGH, May 25.-George H. Snowdown, coal operator, president ofthe George H. Snowdon Company, was killed early today when hisautomobile crashed into the safety zone in front of Carnegie MusicHall. He was driving alone at the time. Born in Uniontown forty-sevenyears ago, the son of Charles L. and Elizabeth B. Snowdon, Mr. Snowdonwas a graduate of Yale, class of 1905, and was a member of the YaleClub of New York. He lived at Maple Lane, Shields. He leaves hisparents, a daughter, Marion Louise; two sons, Charles T. and Henry T.Snowdown, and other relatives. Mr. Snowdon was the second prominentbusiness man to meet his death at the zone in front of the hall. C. H.Riddal, president of the Tech Food Products Company, was fatallyinjured in a similar accident last week.
