Graduated from Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa as an engineers.Prominent engineer across US. Lived 1st 6 years in Logansport, IN,then next 6 years in Baltimore, MD where he was commissioned toreplace all the cesspools with a sewer system. All kids came downwith whooping cough 1st year in MD. Address:721 Gladstone Ave, RolandPark, Baltimore, MD. 1913 moved to Rome, NY until 1917 whilereplacing the old Erie Canal with a new barge extending it from Albanyto Niagara Falls. 1916 had a heart attack and nearly died. Doctorordered his retirement, so returned to Des Moise, IA in 1917 onPleasant Street until 1920. Built a 100 room man's hotel across fromthe courthouse and RR station on land his father owned. Whencompleted he rented it with a 100 year lease. Moved to Californiathen in 1920, then on to 3726 E. Madison Street in Seattle, WA.
