Isaac Turner Brooks

Turner Brooks served two years as a Tax Collector. In November of1869, he was elected Clerk of the Superior Court but later decided notto take the position. Turner Brooks died on October 27, 1893 and Mary(Wynn) Brooks died on July 7, 1903 in Girard, Alabama. Both died atthe home of their son, Isaac Cheney Brooks, and both were buried inthe Linwood Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia. Anna (Frances) Brooks diedprior to 1869 in Columbus, Georgia. Another one of Turner's childrendied at the age of five and was buried in the Linwood Cemetery onFebruary 25, 1870. Mary (Wynn) Brooks was living with her daughter,Sarah, in Muscogee County, Georgia in 1880 and with her daughter,Elexie, in Chattahoochee County, Georgia in 1900.
