According to his grandson, Horace Arthur Howard in 2011, he moved toCanada after his father's death in 1901 and bought a farm near a smalltown called Ashmont, Alberta, Canada and married a local girl and hadson Horace Arthur Howard. His wife died and left the boy without amother so he hired a live in nanny from Germany. Horace Jr. didn'tlike the nanny and moved out quite young, about 15 years old,whereafter he and his father were not too close. Horace H. died in1967 and is buried in a cemetery in Vilna, Alberta. He sold his farmafter his son left and became an insurance salesman in that area. Heremembers him being about 6'2" tall with bushy long grey eye brows anddark brown eyes. He often puffed on a pipe in his rocking chair andhis hair was grey, which means he had hair, like most of the Howardmen, even into their elderly years.
