Hitchcock at 855 NortonAvenue made their daughter, Miss Ellen Elizabeth Hitchcock the brideof Max Ames of San Marcial, New Mexico. The bride will be welcomed onher return to San Marcial to the city of her birth, which she leftfour years ago to accompany her parents to Los Angeles. The familyhas lived in San Bernardino only since March, Mr. Hitchcock beinggeneral foreman of the Santa Fe shops. The bride is a niece ofJ. R. Hitchcock, superintendent of the Santa Fe, and a very attractivegirl who has a host of friends awaiting her arrival in San Marcial,where the groom will take the bride following a short wedding trip toLos Angeles and the coast on which they departed last night bymachine. The home wasbeautifully decorated in flowers for the wedding event, the bridalparty standing in front of a bank of roses. The bride wore a jauntyand becoming tailieur of rose color with hand embroidered Georgetteblouse, with white shoes, and carried a boquet of white rosebuds. Immediately after the ceremony which was pronounced by Rev. Bellar ofHighland, pastor of the Methodist church who was the pastor of thefamily in Los Angeles, a wedding repast was served. The appointmentsbeing in pink and the flowers the Cecil Bruner roses. Garlandsof pink extended to the corner of the table from the chandelier, thecenterpiece being a bowl of Cecil Beruner roses and maidenhair fern.The place cards were pink and the bride's cake was decorated in pinkroses and the wedding cake in white roses. D.Hitchcock, passed away at 11 o'clock in the evening of February 5th ather home in San Bernardino, California. Funeral services wereheld Monday, February 9th at 2:20 p.m. at the Shaw undertakingparlors. The pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, of whichshe was a member, delivering the beautiful tribute to the dead andwords of lasting comfort to the bereaved families and the great throngof sorrowing friends pressent. The members of the ladies' SundaySchool class of which she was a member, rendered appropriate music andher class mates, dressed all in white, were pall bearers.Interment was made in Mountain View cemetery, one of the mostbeautiful spots in all California. All appreciation is hereexpressed for the members of the bereaved families for the beautifulsentiments and deep sympathy expressed by the host of friends throughtelegrams, letters and great banks of flowers which came to them fromall over the southwest.
