John Truewhellar, Foreman of Wheelers, R.C.D. leaves the service and his apprentice, Charles Cock, is transferred to Daniel Hitchcock, Foreman of Wheelers. PRO/WO/47/2,630, p. 2,124. page 1162: 26 January 1818. The apprentice to Daniel Hitchcock, a Foreman lately pensioned, is transferred to John Denton, Foreman of Wheelers in the R.C.D.PRO/WO/47/2,645, p. 742. Note: R.C.D. is Royal Carriage Department. PRO is Public Record Office, WO is War Office. A Wheeler could be someone making wheels for carriages or for guns.
