From Neville Morgan 2012:
William and Ann's daughter Mary married John Williams, and stayed withtheir family in the Forest of Dean. Charles married and moved to Rossin 1841 (Ross-on-Wye).
His first wife died after a very few years,( without any children thatI have been able to find) and he married again in 1851. After thatthey had 12 children (*) and my grandfather was the youngest. Charlesbecame a veterinary surgeon in the counties bordering Wales, and mostof his children moved away to London as they grew up.
I have photos of my grandfather, two sisters and a brother from thatbrood. The only memento that I have from Charles is his signature(very good one) on my grandfather's apprenticeship document with theRoss newspaper. My final proof of the connection to Thomas and Henry, was the discovery of the second daughter
of Charles (Mary), who they gave away to Henry who had no childrenwith his wife Sarah. They later also took in John, the son of Sarah'sbrother. I had not been able to find Mary until recently.
From Neville Morgan:
Charles, Thomas' oldest brother, had an eldest son named CharlesRobinson Morgan, who was born in Hadley, Shropshire.
When he grew up he went to live in London, where he had three sons anda daughter.
In the early nineteen hundreds the sons went, one at a time toQueensland, Australia to be farmers.
The eldest, George Owen Morgan had three sons with his wife who he hadmarried in London.
George Owen was called to serve in WW1, in Belgium, where he wasmentioned in dispatches for gallantry, before being killed.
His next brother served in the army too in France. He returned home.It seems the youngest did not serve - he may even have gone out thereafter the war.
George Owen had three sons, Owen, Neil and Peter.
Owen served in WW2 in the RAAF, flying Wellington bombers overGermany, from England. He was shot down and killed in Belgium.
I understand that Peter was the youngest, and became a very successfuljockey in Queensland. I have some photos and stories about him now.
I am in touch with a cousin who met Owen during the war - I will sendhim a copy of your photo to see what he thinks.
